National Floorball Tourney!

Floorball is a new sport created in 1970 in Europe, to try an combined hockey, and a few other sports. It is basically floor hockey mixed with soccer, and a little bit of lacrosse. You use a whiffle ball, and a stick. The stick isn't very tall, it is also very light. The sport is like lacrosse because if you are good enough you can scoop the ball up, and do cool tricks with it. Anyways the basic rules are very similar to hockey, 5 players and a goalie on each team. Objective is too score. So basically floor hockey, with a European twist.

I haven't heard of this sport since a couple months back. I was very interested, so I wanted to play. I looked for a team, and found st.james floor ball club. I made the team, and we went to represent our province, and basically western Canada in the Canada Cup. A nation floor ball Tournament. This is where the best in the world come to compete. It was only my first time ever playing floor ball, but I was confident.

This is a picture of me in the tournament.

This is me Dangling the oppenent at the Canada Cup.

The tournament wasn't a huge success for the team, but a minor success for me and a couple other team mates. I finished off with about 15 points, my other teammates Chase Harrison, and Cole McCartan finished with a large sum of points too! Floorball is an amazing sport, search it up on the internet and find out more about it. I just started and turned out to be one of the best.

I played roller hockey for awhile, a little different but our team always had practice without the skates on, its a great workout and tons of fun.

Wow man I have never seen those cages at the end of the stick attached to anything - I always wondered why their handles were square and hollow haha

looked at the 'national tournament stats' your buddy from your latest video stickhandleing was at the top with 8 and you with 3 nice try 15 points also chase harrison tied you so sounds like your go to guy was cole mccartan involved in 8 of your teams 9 goals wow!!

Anonymous said... | June 16, 2011 at 9:22 AM

justin i played on hamilton floor hawks in the bantam divsion. from what i saw you did not even get close to the 15 points that you said you got.i remember you and your team your goalie was very strong but you had one very good player. I looked at the stats and his name is cole mccartan.

Justin said... | June 17, 2011 at 5:48 AM

I got 6 to 7 points in the highschool division. In the bantam division I got 3 on the site because three of our game scores had gotten erased, because we had players that were too old to play. In those three games I had gotten a couple points, hence around 15. Also, I seen you guys at St.James doing this, these are my team mates, talk about jealousy issues. They can't see there friend succeed in one sport. They cant give them anything. Also, Cole Mccartan is not that good at floor ball. I must admit his stick handling is Superior, but his lack of effort brings him down. A lot. He only got many points on the crappier, less developed teams. While I, and Chase Harrison got points almost every game, shitty team or not.

Hey justin, who the F**K are you to make fun of someone elses athletic ability you fat plug. I've seen you play hockey, you play for the stars right?? You would make an excellent A1 player. you might make a good 4th line player on A shitty aa team. I've also seen cole and chase play. It should be illegal for your dusty aa @ss to be used in the same paragraph as cole and chase. By the way there is not a f**king chance your gonna make aaa. And you can't even beak anyone at the aaa level you aa benchwarmer. Learn how to skate you bender. p.s. QUIT HOCKEY AND FLOORBALL
